Miss H – “Reclaim & Retain Your Intuition”
Louisa always had a difficult relationship with food, and dieting from the age of 14, turned into being in a cycle of bingeing and restriction, calorie counting, and food restriction.
She had tried a number of approaches, including the DBS (deep brain stimulation) approach to binge eating.
During our time together, Louisa had guidance on how to eat in a way that honoured her body, her hunger cues and build up more body trust. She learnt to trust and respect her body, which in turn, helped her to heal her relationship with food and feel more comfortable in her body.

Sam joined our programme as she was still struggling to know how to eat for her body after her eating disorder. She didn’t believe food freedom was possible and even though that term was a bit cheesy… But she got there!
She had been discharged from eating disorder support because she was deemed “physically” stable, and was working with a therapist.
However, she was still not feeling mentally recovered. She still felt preoccupied with food, unsafe around food and couldn’t fully trust her body when it came to knowing what, when and how much to eat.
Through regular 1:1 support, working on helping her to understand how weight regulation works, how to build body attunement, make peace with foods, respect her body, and work with her day-to-day challenges, she has the tools and knowledge to a more sustainable and healthy approach to taking care of her body.

Antonella knew that weight loss was possible, however, she found herself gaining it back time and time again. She felt trapped and wanted to learn to let go of control and restriction but felt afraid. Control around food was affecting her life as she was always concerned about “calories” and what was “healthy” or “unhealthy”. Since completing the programme, she has been able to let go of the “food police”, feels less fear around food, and feels more in touch with her body and how to respond to her needs.

Joanna was fed up with constantly trying to lose weight. She felt that chocolate was always her downfall. Working whilst living with a chronic health condition compounded her eating habits. Joanna would try and avoid having certain foods in the house due to fear of feeling out of control. Joanna was fed up with her weight increasing and wanted to get a handle on her eating habits. Since working together, she is now less consumed by food thoughts, is more excited about social occasions, holidays, and appreciates and enjoys food. She can have chocolate in her house without even thinking about it!

Holly had been struggling to find “balance” and had found herself being in the endless cycle of being healthy in the day, and eating a lot of food at night, feeling out of control.
She had been in this cycle for around 10 years, yo-yoing with her weight and struggling with her weight. This became exacerbated during lockdown.
Despite trying a number of things on her own, trying to eat more healthy, turn vegan, and educating herself, she felt she needed some more support.
In our time together, Holly learnt about diet culture, and how to let go of the subtle diet tools she was still engaging with that were keeping her trapped. We worked on her relationship with her body, challenging the inner critic when it came to food and her body, understanding emotional eating, and how to listen and trust her own body cues when it came to what, when and how much to eat. She found food happiness & liberation.

Amanda has been dieting since her teens and with all of the rules she had adopted, there were very few foods left she ‘could’ eat without guilt. She felt in a knot around what she “should” or “shouldn’t” be eating. Since completing the programme, she is now open to a whole new world, has found food freedom, can enjoy whatever she eats, has more energy, has an increased sense of self-worth, and a sense of who she is.

Shelley had been trying to eat “healthily”, sticking to the same foods for fear of losing control – especially around sugar. Issues with her gut were fuelling the fear of eating certain foods, and she felt her relationship with food became unhealthy. She is now more connected to the signs of her body (hunger, fullness, satiety), and can respond to these. She is able to be more present in life, without being consumed by food thoughts and her gut issues have cleared up – after many years previously (and a lot of money) trying to get help!

Melody felt she had always had a weird relationship with food, from when she was a teenager. She was always conscious of her body and would eat in secret. She gained weight at university where food became a source of comfort.
She started counting calories, being more restrictive, and lost some weight, but then couldn’t find a way to eat normally again. Her weight would yo-yo up and down.
In our time together, we worked out breaking her out of the cycle of restriction, making peace with foods she felt out of control around and building up other emotional coping tools outside of food. She got to a place of continuing to enjoy Crossfit, and the gym whilst not tying this up with calorie burning and felt that her life no longer revolved around food.

Sarah started trying to lose weight when she was a teenager and was encouraged to join Slimming World by her family. She became obsessed with losing weight and had a gastric band fitted. She still didn’t feel happy in her body after losing some weight.
She started to feel addicted to sweet foods, like chocolate, joined overeaters anonymous, and was going to pay thousands of pounds to stay at a food addiction rehab centre away from her family and young son.
After working together, Sarah learnt a whole new approach. She learnt about the side effects of dieting, and how these had affected her. How to eat in a way that would better support her energy levels and reduce food cravings, and how to best care for herself as a busy mum. She was able to find food freedom.
